SANKTA HELENO, Dec 31 – The People’s Security Committee has announced this evening that the People’s Security Naval Force has been deployed to the Kingdom of Tigellêah.
According to the statement, released on the Committee’s Konektita site at 19:30GMT, a small contingent of the Force set sail from Sankta Heleno this morning, however fog and unfavourable weather conditions delayed their arrival until early evening. Approval for the deployment was given by an “extraordinary meeting”, understood to have included the Presiding Officer of the National People’s Council, Jacob Hassan, and the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Daisy Morgan, along with the PSC’s own Commissioner Aaron Moran. It is understood there had been no convening of the National People’s Council prior to the decision. No statement has yet been given by either Mr Hassan or Miss Morgan.
Details about the nature and reason for the deployment were sparse, however it is understood that the PSC is responding to a request from a group styling itself as the People’s Party of Tigellêah. Currently, no statement has been given by the government of the small kingdom, located 22km west of Sovaĝujo. The PSC says it is preparing to release more details in the morning, and requests the understanding of the Sovaĝo people as it responds to an evolving and operationally sensitive situation.
