Militia to provide additional security assistance in Tigellêah following NPC vote

SANKTA HELENO, Jan 2 – The National People’s Council has voted in favour of the formation of a voluntary militia this morning, resulting in the deployment of additional Sovaĝo personnel to support the People’s Security Naval Force in Tigellêah. The formation was approved during a special session of the NPC at 09:55GMT, and the small contingent arrived at Tigellêah’s eastern border with the United Kingdom at just after 11:15GMT.

The militia rendezvoused with the Naval Forces at the port of Clammingen before heading north to establish a security presence around the strategically important Bærnwudu Road. The Commissioner for Security, Aaron Moran, reported that Tigellêahisc forces were stationed on the Bærnwudu Road, however they retreated in the direction of Feormehâmburh without any hostile contact with Sovaĝo forces.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Daisy Morgan, has confirmed that contact with the Tigellêahisc government has been established and diplomatic efforts to resolve the situation are underway. It is understood that King Boniface of Tigellêah has returned to the capital Feormehâmburh from his main residence in the United Kingdom in light of recent developments.
